Polish World and European Champion a victim of mobbing? "I was the subject of attacks. I assume it was because of my disability"

Paulina Socha-Jakubowska, "Wprost": You wrote online that "I urgently need funds for rehabilitation and preparations for the next Olympic Games in Los Angeles" and therefore have to sell the plot of land. Is it really that bad?

Justyna Franieczek: I want to prove to myself and others that I will undergo rehabilitation and return to sports, and go to the next Olympics. I decided that I will survive all this evil. I found myself in a difficult life situation. Due to the injury, I lost my sponsors and almost all financing. Complicated regulations excluded my financing in connection with outstanding sports achievements, i.e. for winning the vice-championship of the European 4x400 m relay in Sweden in 2024, because one of several criteria was not met.

Our financing system has flaws.

If someone gets injured, they can't help but get money. Most people give up. Of course, even the funding from the Ministry only covers half of my needs. We promote Poland abroad, we win medals. We often pay extra for it, because it's our passion. People need to know that the costs of supplementation alone, the care of a physiotherapist, doctor and trainer amount to over PLN 8,000 per month. Training camps cost from PLN 4,000 to PLN 6,000. In addition, there is equipment, fuel, depreciation, food and basic social security, such as renting an apartment.

Therefore, there will definitely be no mass-scale champions.

To carry out the preparations I have to sell the property. Everything I have. But I do it so I can hear Mazurek Dąbrowskiego.

In general, your story is a story of constant struggle.

14 years ago I had a car accident, doctors said I could forget about running. They advised me to focus more on walking, because that could be my real problem. Although I have 30% damage to my health, I didn't give up. My return to sports lasted every day, every day for 8 years. However, it was only after 12 years that I reached point zero. The condition before the accident.

I had one motivation, I wanted to represent our country. And although in my life I have experienced the loss of a pregnancy , serious surgeries, and now another injury and I have to undergo rehabilitation, because after years of backbreaking effort my hip has failed, I will not give up. I have already lost everything and started from scratch many times. I will win, even if it means selling my only personal property - a plot of land.

I never made any money from sports. I added my own private money that I had from my extra job.
