Qigong, or the exercise of vital energy [PHOTOS]

Luohan Qigong (pronounced qigong) is a respiratory and movement system derived from traditional Chinese medicine. It combines gentle body movement or static postures with relaxation, mental concentration, and proper breathing. Qigong literally means the exercise of vital energy. The goal of this method is to gather a person's internal energy and ensure its harmonious flow. The foundation of traditional Chinese medicine is the premise that internal energy (called qi by the Chinese) permeates the entire body and its surrounding environment. Health is the harmonious flow of qi. This flow is possible thanks to the continuous interaction between the two poles of qi, called yin and yang. This concept helped the ancient Chinese develop methods for healing many illnesses. How? By creating a balance between these two poles, in accordance with the theory that a human being is one with the universe.

Modern Western doctors also recognize the value of physical and breathing exercises. Qigong is a type of psychosomatic training that improves well-being through relaxation and gentle exercise of muscles and tendons. The combination of proper, conscious breathing, mental and physical relaxation, and gentle movement that gradually strengthens the body and improves posture produces excellent health benefits.

– assured K. Ściubak, adding:

"It's also significant that Luohan Qigong is also a wonderful aesthetic experience, increasing the sense of order and harmony. Scientific research demonstrates the direct impact of emotional state on the body's physiological activity. Excessive mental tension and states of depression lead to disruption of normal physiological functions, and subsequently to the development of a number of so-called lifestyle diseases."

Luohan Qigong has been a system passed down from generation to generation within the Chen family for the past 150 years. It is only thanks to Grandmaster Dr. Chen Yong Fa, the modern heir to the Luohan Qigong system, that we have the opportunity to learn about these wonderful exercises that promote health and physical fitness. For over 35 years, since 1987, Sifu Tomasz Chabowski, who runs the "Lung" School of Martial Arts Kung-Fu, where the Luohan Qigong system is taught, has been his student in martial arts, health exercises, and traditional Chinese medicine.

Sifu Tomasz Chabowski is one of twenty direct students of Master Chen Yong Fa worldwide to hold the title of Dragon Disciple Master. In 2013, he graduated from Luohan Qigong International College in China and holds the title of International Master of the Luohan Qigong system. Sifu is also a certified naturopath with a master's degree and has run the TMC Therapy Office in Wieliczka since 2016, where he utilizes the medical knowledge of the Chen family and the knowledge acquired during numerous courses at the Center for Chinese Medicine in Krakow.

– said Sihing K. Ściubak. The Przemyśl native is a student of Sifu T. Chabowski. He has participated in numerous training courses in Chan Family Choy Lee Fut Kung Fu, Luohan Qigong, and acupuncture, starting in the 1990s.

As Sihing K. Ściubak argues, there are many of them.

– There are many more. Let's focus on just a few. They include strengthening the body's immune system, improving the functioning of the circulatory and respiratory systems, increasing lung capacity, improving concentration and mental efficiency, improving memory, delaying the aging process, restoring energy balance in the body, and rehabilitating injuries and disorders of the musculoskeletal system.

– he enumerated. But also, among other things: correcting posture defects, reducing the feeling of stress and fatigue, and improving well-being.

Through us, Sihing Krzysztof Ściubak invites you to Luohan Qigong and Chan Family Choy Lee Fut Kung-Fu classes in Przemyśl. For more details, call 793 733 317.
