Residents of Purda Leśna are devastated. They were met with a horrific sight this morning. They are searching for drivers with cameras.
The bus stops in Purda Leśna were distinguished by their solid construction. Made of thick wooden beams and treated with impregnation, they not only effectively protected passengers from rain and wind but also blended seamlessly into the Warmia landscape. They were not only practical but also aesthetically pleasing, emphasizing the village's local character.
Unfortunately, on Monday morning, residents discovered their bus stops vandalized. According to Piotr Gołaszewski, the village head of Purda Leśna, the perpetrators first used a chainsaw, and when it apparently stopped working, they completed the destruction with an axe.
"Last Friday, we finished repairing the bus stops. I was driving through there on Sunday evening, and everything was fine. By Monday morning, they looked like a hurricane had hit," says the village head.
Bus stops in Purda Leśna have been vandalized. Residents are devastated."I wonder who was bothered by this," one of the village residents says indignantly. "People commute to work in Olsztyn, children to school. There was always a place to hide from the rain or wind. And now? Where are we supposed to wait for the bus during a storm?" asks the irritated woman.
The village head of Purda Leśna is deeply disappointed and is appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident. "Maybe someone was driving along the Olsztyn-Szczytno route on Sunday night with a dashcam on and recorded something that could help identify the perpetrators . We're asking for your help," Piotr Gołaszewski appeals.
It is currently unknown who is behind this act of vandalism. The matter has been reported to the appropriate authorities, and residents hope the perpetrators will be quickly apprehended and held accountable for their actions.
