Summer of football. Free training!

Summer of football. Free training!

At the stadium in Żmigród, until September 3rd, under the slogan "Kids, play with us!", the Śląsk Wrocław Foundation will organize training sessions for children and youth, co-financed by a grant from the Ministry of Sport and Tourism. This is a unique opportunity for young residents of the municipality and surrounding areas to spend time actively and joyfully – without stress, selection, or the pressure of results.

Anyone can play – you just need to want to

You don't need a team or any special skills to participate. Just show up and join the fun. Balls, markers, training equipment, and an experienced coach, Błażej Chouwer, are available to guide you through the sessions with passion.

Training sessions are held in two age groups: younger (ages 7–11) and older (ages 12–16). Each group emphasizes movement, teamwork, enjoyment of the game, and physical development. Organizers emphasize that girls are welcome on the pitch too!

When and where?

Classes are held twice a week – on Tuesdays and Wednesdays until September 3rd. The schedule has been adapted to the age of participants:

Younger group (7–11 years): Tuesdays: 3:00–4:30 p.m. Wednesdays: 9:00–10:30 a.m.

Older group (12–16 years): Tuesdays: 4:30–6:00 PM Wednesdays: 10:30–12:00 PM.

The exception will be the last training session in September – then both groups will meet in the afternoon.

Not just training – also fun and rewards

The sessions include not only football games but also warm-up and general development exercises that improve fitness and teach the basics of healthy movement. At the end of the series, participants will receive small gifts, medals, and diplomas. Important information: this project is not a recruitment process for the Silesian Academy in Wrocław – it's purely about having fun and being physically active.

How to sign up?

Registration is accepted via email – simply send a message to [email protected] and include your child's age. You can also register directly before practice, provided there are still spots available. Parental or guardian consent is required – details will be available at the first session or via return email. The event is partnered with MKS Piast Żmigród. IMPORTANT: You must bring your own water bottle to practice, and shoes with metal studs are prohibited on the pitch.

This is the perfect opportunity to spend your summer actively, meet new friends, and fall in love with football – without pressure, but with passion and joy. Space is limited.
