Although the weather conditions weren't entirely favorable, the competitors put on an entertaining spectacle for the fans. Szymon Sowa and Hubert Kuśmierczyk were the winners. Kacper Grendysa and Maksymilian Opioła took second place, and Szymon Ochenduszka and Mateusz Witko took bronze, defeating Miłosz Zimny and Kacper Łukaszek.
The tournament was played on newly opened beach volleyball courts, which have been added to the existing recreational complex in Ostrów near Radymno, located behind the local primary school. The investment was made possible thanks to the commitment of Bogdan Szylar, Mayor of the Radymno Commune, and Paweł Siary, Village Head of Ostrów. The new facilities fit seamlessly with existing attractions, such as a playground, a multi-purpose sports field, a football pitch, and walking and educational trails.
– The BeachVolley Podkarpacie series is not just a sporting competition, but also an initiative with a broader social dimension. Its goal is to promote physical activity, a healthy lifestyle, and to integrate the local community around shared events.
– said Zdzisław Koniuch, president of the event organizer, TKS “Żagiel”, adding:
– The competition showed that beach volleyball can be accessible to everyone – regardless of age and level of advancement.
The event's partners were the Radymno commune and the Podkarpackie Voivodeship. Our editorial team is one of the media patrons of the series.
