The National Revenue Administration (KAS) is conducting nationwide, intensive operations to verify the legality of disposable e-cigarettes offered on the Polish market. Its inspections include verifying the liquid content of e-cigarettes, cartridges, and refill tanks, among other things. Recently, officers have seized nearly 6,000 disposable e-cigarettes.

Customs and Tax Service officers stopped a delivery van coming from Germany, driven by a 31-year-old citizen of our country, on the Podkarpacie section of the A4 motorway.

In the vehicle's cargo area, officers discovered over 30 cardboard boxes that the driver had explained were supposed to contain electronic equipment. However, they turned out to be filled with e-cigarettes without Polish excise stamps. They seized 5,939 disposable e-cigarettes with a total capacity of 118 liters of liquid, containing 2% nicotine. According to the Tax Administration Chamber in Rzeszów:

"Fiscal criminal proceedings have been initiated in this case. Further proceedings are ongoing, conducted by the Podkarpackie Customs and Tax Office in Przemyśl. Customs and tax liabilities on the seized goods amount to PLN 770,000."
