The accident occurred on January 13, at approximately 4:40 p.m. The Skoda Fabia was driving along the route from Stanisławów towards Łochów. Suddenly, the car veered off the road and hit a roadside tree with force. The effects were dramatic.
— The force of the impact was so great that the engine fell onto the road and both men were thrown from the vehicle — police officers from Mińsk Mazowiecki reported after the incident.
Emergency services were immediately called to the scene. Two helicopters of the Air Ambulance Service landed and took the injured to two Warsaw hospitals. Their condition was described as critical from the beginning.
One tragedy after another. The second participant is also dead.Unfortunately, a few days after the accident, one of the injured died in hospital – a 31-year-old man. For the following weeks, doctors fought for the life of the second participant. Now, more tragic information has arrived. As confirmed to "Faktowi" on Tuesday, February 25, by Sergeant Paula Antolak, press officer of the District Police Headquarters in Mińsk Mazowiecki , the second man died – a 28-year-old. In turn, "Miejski Reporter" established that the victim's name was Patryk and he died on February 19.
What led to the accident?The investigation into the accident is being overseen by the prosecutor's office, which is to determine what exactly happened on that January afternoon and why the car veered off the road.
Initial findings indicate that the cause could have been a failure to adjust speed to road conditions. The road was slippery and covered in snow. With the force of the impact, the tree fell onto the roadway, blocking traffic.
