Banking sector profits are swelling by billions. The National Bank of Poland (NBP) has released new data.

The banking sector's net profit in the January-September 2025 period amounted to PLN 36.08 billion, an increase of 16.1% year-on-year, the National Bank of Poland announced.
Total net operating revenues after September 2025 amounted to approximately PLN 104.6 billion, an increase of 8.4% year-on-year.
Administrative costs amounted to approximately PLN 40.9 billion, which is approximately 8.9 percent higher than a year ago.
Write-offs (impairment or reversal of impairment on financial assets not measured at fair value with the valuation effect recognized in the profit and loss account) amounted to PLN 4.2 billion, a 12.7% year-on-year decrease. (PAP Biznes)
