Repolonization of roads. Asians will no longer build in Poland

There is a long-awaited breakthrough in government road investments. The General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways (GDDKiA) has declared that it will meet the demands of the construction industry: in the tender for the construction of a section of the A2 motorway in the Lublin province, it is to exclude companies from outside the EU for the first time. Polish contractors accuse them of unfair competition. They claim that they win tenders thanks to their advantage in access to cheap capital, and transfer profits to their home countries. Currently, Asian companies are implementing nine contracts worth PLN 7.3 billion as part of the government road program. This is 11 percent of the value of all current contracts for the construction of fast roads in Poland. They include the construction of 179 km of expressways and motorways.
