Russia's War with Ukraine. Day 1170
On the sidelines of the informal summit of EU foreign ministers in Warsaw, Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna announced that the European Union has already begun working out a consensus on extending the sanctions against Russia in June. In particular, this is to concern the 240 billion euros of Russian assets frozen by the EU, which – as he stated – cannot be “given away” to Vladimir Putin. “I cannot imagine that this or that European leader can return from the June meeting of foreign ministers and say that we gave Putin 240 billion euros as a “reward” for everything he has done,” Tsahkna said.
