Hippotherapy year ends with a session open to the community

At the end of another year of hippotherapy for people with special needs, provided by the GNR in Chaves, the sessions were available to everyone. At Alameda do Tabolado, on Tuesday (1), it was possible to interact with the animals, learn about the process of preparing the horses and talk to the technicians and professionals involved in this project that promotes inclusion, in addition to riding a horse.
Mariana, 9, didn't want to miss it. She'd already ridden horseback once, and because she enjoyed it, she took advantage of this opportunity. "I came because I like it; it's easy to ride, just hard to get on," she says. Her mother, Susana Gomes, heard about the activity and signed Mariana up because "it's a good initiative; it showcases the work they do with the kids and ends up being very beneficial therapy for them."
