World Cup already has Brazilians guaranteed in the quarterfinals; understand
A Brazilian team is already guaranteed a place in the quarter-finals of the FIFA Club World Cup.
This is because Palmeiras and Botafogo will face each other in the round of 16 of the competition, in a game that will take place at 1 pm (Brasília time), next Saturday (28).
The path in the next phase, in fact, is already known. The team that qualifies in Palmeiras x Botafogo will face the winner of the duel between 1st Group C x 2nd Group D.
Other Brazilian teams can still secure a spot in the round, where a team between Palmeiras and Botafogo will be. Flamengo has already qualified for the round of 16, as leader of group D, while Fluminense faces Mamelodi in the last round to secure qualification in group F.
