" Much like it has been, we will continue to hold Marés Vivas on the third weekend of July, that is, on July 17, 18 and 19," said Jorge Lopes.
As for next year's lineup, the person in charge said that he has been working on it for a long time, and expects to reveal names "very soon."
Jorge Lopes stated that the festival will continue with the same format, that is, presenting national and international artists that appeal to different generations.
"This way, we please everyone and all age groups," he stressed.
The 18th edition of the festival, which began on Friday and ends today, was sold out for all three days, with 120,000 people passing through the venue, according to the person in charge.
"We've had three sold-out days, which is great. Today, for example, has been sold out for about two months, and the first day was also sold out a month ago," he explained.
This is a sign that Marés Vivas "is there in full force" and that people liked this year's lineup, said the director of PEV Entertainment.
"It's been three fantastic days, with great musical moments and, above all, what we like most is seeing that people leave here happy and that they loved the festival," reinforced Jorge Lopes.
The idea for future editions is to grow, both in terms of audience and space, but above all, in terms of access to the venue.
"More than just growing attendance, we want to grow consistently. And when we grow, the venue and the city itself must be ready to welcome people because we're talking about 40,000 people," he said.
For his part, Meo's sponsorship and events manager, Pedro Laranjeira, stated that the partnership with PEV Entertainment is "very successful" and will "definitely be maintained in the future."
"This is the 13th edition of this very successful partnership with PEV. And I think this year is proof and the final test that this is indeed a successful partnership. We had three days of absolutely packed houses here," he emphasized.
Pedro Laranjeira recalled that, as in the previous year, the festival implemented the Music with Meaning project, which included sign language interpreters, sensory vests and mobility-impaired platforms.
"The goal is to ensure that everyone has an equal experience regardless of their condition," he concluded.
The Marés Vivas festival, which takes place in the former Madalena campsite, has seen performances by artists such as Scorpions, Thirty Seconds to Mars, Ozuna, Pedro Sampaio, Hybrid Theory, Xutos e Pontapés, Miguel Araújo & Os Quatro e Meio, Tiago Nacarato and Zarco.
In the venue, where five stages were spread out, there was also a Ferris wheel and a slide, two of the new features of this edition.
