Patrick Watson returns to Portugal in January for two concerts

Canadian musician Patrick Watson returns to Portugal in January for two concerts, in Porto and Lisbon, to present a new album to be released this month, which features the Portuguese band MARO.

According to the show promoter, Patrick Watison will perform on January 14th in Porto, at Casa da Música, and on January 15th, in Lisbon, at LAV – Lisboa ao Vivo.

The two concerts are part of the tour to present the album “Uh Oh”, which will be released on September 26th.

In his new work, Patrick Watson takes listeners “on a journey that reflects on life’s challenges, from the small setbacks of childhood to the great anxieties of adulthood.”

"In 2023, Patrick Watson faced a major obstacle: the temporary loss of his voice, but that didn't stop him from creating. Instead of letting himself be discouraged, he decided to write for other singers, resulting in a collaborative album that promises to surprise and features the Portuguese artist MARO," says the promoter.

Patrick Watson has been a regular presence on Portuguese stages for several years.

In early August, the musician shared on his official Instagram account that he was on vacation in Portugal, where he ended up giving a "small concert." It was in Vila Praia de Âncora, in the municipality of Caminha, at the request of a local resident, the musician shared.

Tickets for the concerts in Porto and Lisbon, which cost 35 euros, will be on sale from Thursday.
