Summer celebrated with cinema and street concerts

Summer celebrated with cinema and street concerts

After kicking off on the 25th at Praça Luís Ribeiro with the Portuguese comedy "Um Filme do Caraças" (A Great Movie), featuring big names in Portuguese humor such as Eduardo Madeira, José Pedro Gomes, and Herman José, "Cinema na Rua" continues this Friday. The screening of "A Fox and a Hare Save the Forest" (M/6), an animated feature film that explores the importance of friendship and courage in facing challenges, begins at 9:30 p.m. at Ferreira de Castro Municipal Park.

In the following weeks—always on Fridays at 9:30 p.m.—there will be other screenings as part of this city-sponsored initiative. The Portuguese action comedy "Live and Let It Ride" (R/12) is scheduled for August 8th at Orreiro, while the film "The Adventures of Jeff Panacloc and Jean-Marc," which also promises plenty of fun, will be shown on August 22nd at Praça Luís Ribeiro.

This program culminates on August 29th with the animated adventure "Dragonkeeper - Ping and the Dragon" (R/6), whose script centers on Ping, an orphan girl who discovers she has an important mission: to help a Chinese imperial dragon. This film will be screened at the Parque de Nossa Senhora dos Milagres (Our Lady of Miracles Park).

"Summer ComVida" concerts start this Saturday

Until August 23rd, Saturday nights at Praça Luís Ribeiro will feature free musical performances in another edition of the "Verão ComVida" program, also sponsored by the São João da Madeira City Council. The duo "Le Jack" is invited to open this year's lineup on the 2nd, starting at 9:30 pm.

Eight days later, at the same time, the proposal ".PT - Tribute to Portuguese Rock" takes to the stage, followed on the 16th of the same month by "The Vibrators" and on the 23rd by "The Kings of Swing".
