Thieves attempt to break into Valentino's mansion in Rome

Two thieves tried to break into the mansion of Italian fashion designer Valentino Garavani in Rome on Sunday afternoon (6), but were surprised in the property's garden and scared off by a security guard, who fired a shot into the air.
The case was revealed this Tuesday (8) by the newspaper "Il Messaggero", whose publication reported that the criminals are wanted by the Italian police.
According to reports, the attempted robbery took place shortly after 7pm (local time), when the luxury brand's designer was at his residence, near Via Appia Antica, with his employees.
At the time, two men got out of a Fiat Panda and destroyed a fence to enter the mansion's garden. Through surveillance cameras, the security guard saw the criminals, went over, drew his gun and fired a shot into the air. After the scare, the bandits fled.
The police were called and opened an investigation to analyze images from security cameras at the residence and in the region, in an attempt to track down the two thieves.
Last November, a gang broke into a luxury brand Valentino store in Piazza Mignanelli, in the historic center, committing a robbery of around 140 thousand euros.
