The romantic comedy, directed by Alexandre Avancini and produced by Daíse Amaral, was filmed almost entirely in the Basilicata region, in southern Italy, and highlights the local landscapes in its integration into the narrative. The film tells the story of a 40-year-old woman - played by Amaral herself - who sees the foundations of her life crumble after a marital crisis and her daughter moving to another country to study medicine.

The character then decides to travel to Basilicata in search of her origins and is joined by her mother, a 70-year-old widow who has suffered a financial blow, and her own daughter, a 19-year-old girl who dreams of conquering the world and escaping family pressures.

"She has this crisis in her relationship and starts to look inwards, which is why she returns to Italy," Amaral told ANSA in an interview announcing the film's production, making a point of choosing historic cities in Basilicata as the setting for the film, such as Anzi, Calvello, Rotonda, Maratea, Matera and Pietra Pertosa.

In addition to Amaral, the film also features names such as Eriberto Leão, Angela Vieira, Paulo Betti, Marina Moshen, Paloma Bernardi and Marcos Pasquim, in addition to the special participation of Italian actors Edoardo Costa and Giulia Ragazzini.

The Ischia Film Festival program also includes a roundtable discussion with Amaral about the role of women in film and entertainment. She will also be honored during the event for her work leading the production of the film.

"It is an honor to bring this story to a festival that values the relationship between location and narrative. This international recognition reinforces how cinema can be a link between cultures," highlighted Amaral about the launch of the work in Italy.
