Ecotopia Ativa Association promotes debate among candidates for the Tavira City Council

At a time when the election campaign is in full swing, there are topics that deserve to be discussed further by the candidates for mayor of Tavira and, in this sense, the Ecotopia Activa Association is promoting the second of two debates, on September 27th at 9 pm, at the Tavira Club .

Following a well-attended debate on September 12th, Ecotopia Activa, which promoted active citizenship, community self-determination in food, and environmental protection, the second session now seeks to focus on other equally important issues: housing, culture, and mobility.

Ana Paula Martins (PS), Anaísa Gonçalves (Chega), Dinis Faísca (PSD) and Venceslau Peres (CDU) will be present.

Pedro Miguel Duarte, former journalist and PhD student in Science Communication at FCSH-Nova, is the moderator chosen for this debate, which takes place at the Clube de Tavira, on Rua da Liberdade.

Getting here involved a long period of preparation, beginning with preliminary meetings held with local political parties to discuss and analyze issues related to the development and evolution of the municipality of Tavira.

In a gesture of opening the debate to Tavira voters and active citizenship, which already began in the 2021 electoral debate, all citizens are invited to watch and listen to the proposals for a shared future.
