A bear visited Staraya Russa at dawn

A bear cub wandered into the third largest city in the Novgorod region, Staraya Russa. Video footage of a teenage bear running along Svarog Street, filmed from a car window early (04:40) on July 6, is being published by local VK communities. The bear ran confidently along the asphalt for a long time, after which it decided to hide in the bushes.

Let us add that the network remembers the previous visit of the bear to Staraya Russa - it was in 2015.

The head of the Novgorod Region Committee for Hunting and Fishing Dmitry Grafov later told the publication novgorod.ru that on the same day local hunters checked the surrounding area and did not find the bear's "beds". Experts believe that the young bear simply got lost and ended up in the urban environment by accident. The bear does not pose a threat to humans in the summer, but you should not feed or try to tame the animal.

" As soon as the animal understands that there is food for it here, it will return here again and again. And this will become a problem for the city ," the publication quotes Dmitry Grafov as saying.
