A special military operation (SVO) fighter from Yekaterinburg, Ivan Salamatov, was declared a deserter because he did not abandon his six-year-old daughter in an orphanage. This became known to Ura.ru.
According to the Russian agency, the city resident was left the only parent for the girl. While saving her, he tried to quit his job, but ran into bureaucratic red tape.
Salamatov noted that he went to the front voluntarily in 2022. In "civilian life", his wife and daughter and the woman's son from her first marriage were waiting for him. During his service, the relationship with his wife deteriorated, the Ural resident admitted. However, he continued to provide financial assistance to his children, coming on vacation, he showered them with gadgets, televisions and other things.
The wife of a SVO participant began to abuse alcohol and sold all the equipment. The man bought everything for the children again, but this step did not save the family from falling apart. A resident of Yekaterinburg was deprived of parental rights - the eldest son was taken into custody by the woman's mother, and the girl was sent to an orphanage.
Last December, Salamatov decided to take the child and asked to be discharged from service. The unit's command explained that since the man had been mobilized, only the Sverdlovsk Region draft board could recall him. In addition, since Salamatov had not arrived in the combat zone on time, he was declared to have left the unit without permission.
Now the Yekaterinburg resident does not receive any money and cannot find a job. He will soon undergo a military medical commission.
Earlier it was reported that in Orsk a special operation fighter had his certificate for a new house to replace the flooded one revoked.
