Business meeting turns into tragedy

The 52-year-old man disappeared along with his car on the afternoon of February 21. According to some reports, he went to meet a business partner and was never seen again. By the evening, his family had raised the alarm because his mobile phone was switched off, although he always informed his family of his whereabouts.

Almost immediately, the businessman and his car were put on the wanted list. A large-scale search began. The main efforts of its participants were concentrated in the vicinity of the airport. According to some sources, it was to this area that the businessman was heading after leaving home for work. Indeed, not far from the airport there is an office belonging to a man with the same initials as the missing businessman. According to other sources, it was in this area that the police managed to record the signal of his mobile phone.

A hundred National Guard servicemen and several dozen volunteers visited every house in the gardening community, every private base in the southern industrial part of the city, walked several dozen kilometers across the steppe in the vicinity of the airport, looking into every ravine and forest. Two drones were sent into the air. Three service dogs helped in the search on the ground. But all was in vain.

The body of the missing Pavlodar resident was found on February 23 in another part of the city.

- A criminal case has been opened under the article "murder". Operational and investigative measures are being carried out to identify and detain the person involved in the crime, - reported the press service of the regional police department.

It is known that one of the main suspects today is the businessman’s business partner.
