Death toll from Texas flooding rises to 50 — report

NEW YORK, July 6. /TASS/. At least 50 people have died in Texas flooding after heavy rains caused the Guadalupe River to surge over its banks, CNN reported.
Dozens of people are missing, including more than 20 girls from a children's summer camp. Texas Governor Greg Abbott earlier said 850 people were evacuated.
According to US President Donald Trump, the federal government is assisting local responders with flood relief efforts. US Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem arrived in Texas on Saturday.
