Heavy rains hit the Karymsky and Chita districts of the region, the regional department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported. In just one day, precipitation led to floods - the local Ungur River burst its banks. Water rushed into the nearby village of Makkaveevo. As a result, 15 household plots were flooded in the settlement. Five people, including three children, were evacuated, and a temporary accommodation center was set up.
In total, 48 areas in four settlements, as well as one bridge on a regional road, were flooded by rainwater in the region. Flooding is reported in the villages of Darasun , Kurort-Darasun and Ilyinka , where the river level in the Kruchina River rose sharply against the backdrop of heavy rains. As the department emphasizes, there is no threat to local residents. According to weather forecasters, light rains will continue in the region throughout the week.
Earlier, heavy rains hit Kuban, damaging 20 houses and 50 adjacent territories. In addition, due to heavy rainfall, a bridge in the Krasnodar village of Tkhamakha went under water. A state of emergency was declared in the village of Shabanovskoye.
