Tears of happiness: woman finds her nephew in Aktau after 16 years

As reported by the Aktau garrison, Elvira lost her sister 16 years ago, who tragically passed away. The relative left behind a two-year-old son, Askhat. The father took the child with him and moved to Kazakhstan, where he created a new family. Little Askhat was raised by his grandparents.

Elvira had not lost hope of reuniting with her nephew all this time. And now, many years later, she learned that the 18-year-old boy was currently serving in the army in the Mangistau region. The woman immediately turned to the representative of the Soldiers' Mothers Committee, Gulmira Zhanysbaeva, for help, who could not help but meet her halfway.

It turned out that Elvira's nephew served in military unit 25744, located in Aktau. For several months, the unit commander, deputy commander for educational and ideological work, psychologist, and representatives of the committee of soldiers' mothers psychologically prepared Askhat for a meeting with his aunt. During this time, Elvira kept in touch with her nephew by phone.

The long-awaited reunion of two relatives took place in military unit 25744 and was captured on video.
