The investment climate in Novgorod region continues to improve

For several years in a row, our region has seen a continuous growth in investment. This was stated by Deputy Minister - Director of the Investment Department of the Ministry of Investment Policy of the Novgorod Region Yulia Alekseeva, taking part in a communication session on the monetary policy of the Bank of Russia. The event was held in Veliky Novgorod. The discussion focused on the situation in the region's economy: what is happening with investments, lending, the labor market, and how this affects businesses and residents.

The data provided are as follows: The volume of private investment in fixed assets in 2024 amounted to 65.7 billion rubles, which is 9.5% more than in 2023. Business investment in the first quarter of this year was 10.4 billion rubles. This is 15.7% more than in the same period of the previous year.

The bulk of investments falls on such areas as: manufacturing, transportation and storage, education. Novgorod region has long established itself as a region attractive to investors. With the support of the authorities, they successfully implement the most daring ideas. In 2024, the implementation of 24 investment projects was completed in the region, each of which cost more than 50 million rubles. The total investment in the projects is 25.1 billion rubles, 573 jobs were created.

" Currently, 91 investment projects are being implemented in the region using private and budget funds. For the regional economy, this is 109 billion rubles and 5,621 highly productive jobs ," said Yulia Alekseeva.

The session brought together representatives of the North-West Main Directorate of the Bank of Russia, enterprises, government bodies and the academic community – a total of about 300 people.
