The third Manezh in Veliky Novgorod will be larger and taller than its predecessors

On the southern outskirts of Veliky Novgorod, construction of a new sports gymnastics center continues. The building is being erected at the end of Pskovskaya Street next to the existing Manezh sports complex and the building of the Novgorod Agrotechnical College. Work is currently being carried out at the excavation pit level.

The area of ​​the building will be 5,227 square meters. The center will be able to accommodate up to 1,000 people. The two-story building will include: the main gymnasium on the first floor; a warm-up room with panoramic glazing along the wall on the second floor.

The project also includes the creation of street infrastructure: sidewalks, access roads to the sports complex, guest and service parking, lighting, bicycle parking, flower beds and a green area around.

The construction is scheduled to be completed in 2026.

Note that, historically, this will be the third Manezh sports complex in Veliky Novgorod. The first one, on Bredova-Zverinaya Street, was created at the turn of the millennium on the ruins of barracks from the first half of the 19th century, the second one was opposite Lenta on Pskovskaya in 2017.
