Minister of Economic Development Maxim Reshetnikov also named the development of new regions and support for border regions as a common goal
Currently, Russian departments and regions are jointly developing a program to restore the country's damaged border regions. This was announced by Russian Minister of Economic Development Maxim Reshetnikov during the "Open Dialogue" in the Federation Council, TASS reports.
"Another common task is the development of new regions and support for border regions. In addition, the president set the task of restoring the affected areas of these regions. Now, together with federal agencies and regions, we are forming a corresponding program," the minister said.
Reshetnikov noted that many problems need to be solved in these areas now, including ensuring security, restoring infrastructure, social facilities, and housing. At the same time, as the minister emphasized, it is no less important to launch the economy in these regions and restore enterprises.
