Akit targeted TRNC in headline

Tufan Erhürman emerged victorious in the presidential elections held in the TRNC.

As a result of the election, Tufan Erhürman, leader of the Republican Turkish Party (CTP), became the new president of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).

Former president Ersin Tatar, who was supported by the AKP, lost the election.

The pro-government Yeni Akit newspaper reported the TRNC election results with a scandalous headline: "Greek lovers win in TRNC."
