Beste Kökdemir lashed out at comments made about her marriage

Actress Beste Kökdemir married Fazlı Erdinç Çatak, whom she had been with for a while, on July 4th. Kökdemir, who announced that she was pregnant right after the wedding, did not remain silent to the comments that said, “She got married because she got pregnant.” Kökdemir reacted strongly by sharing a video on her Instagram account.

Kökdemir used the following expressions in his statement:

"There were some lynchings about my pregnancy. I was expecting this. Although I don't take it too seriously, when I think about it collectively, of course I am sorry for these mentalities. Because I am bringing a child to this country. I am sorry for the mentality that sees truth and honesty as having children before or after marriage. I wouldn't want to be in such an environment."

Responding to criticism, the actress said, "We were not forced to get married for children, we were already thinking about marriage. When we got pregnant, we brought the marriage forward. You may be confusing it with your own worlds, you may be seeing your own cowards."
