Drag race ends in death
The accident in Antalya took place at the Kepez Drag Track in the Odabaşı Neighborhood of the Kepez district. Osman Özgen and his friend Mustafa A. came to the track built by the Kepez Municipality in 2018 and started racing their motorcycles in the area closed to traffic.
According to the news in DHA, 2 motorcycles driven by 2 friends crashed into the concrete barriers on the closed side of the track. Teams were dispatched to the address after the friends of the duo noticed the accident and reported it.
Health teams determined that Osman Özgen had lost his life. Mustafa A., who was seriously injured, was taken to Antalya City Hospital after first aid.
Özgen's lifeless body was taken to the Antalya Forensic Medicine Institute morgue after the crime scene investigation team's work.
An investigation has been launched regarding the incident.
