Fugitive suspect in fake e-signature case caught in Istanbul

Following the re-arrest warrant issued against Ziya Kadiroğlu, who was released on probation at the hearing of the case heard by the Ankara 23rd Criminal Court of First Instance on October 10, upon the objection of the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, police teams began working to capture the defendant.
The teams detained the defendant Kadiroğlu in Istanbul.
Arrest warrants were issued for the five defendants who were released.
The Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office objected to the release of defendants Ziya Kadiroğlu, Mıhyedin Yakışır, Yalçın Maraşlı, Gökay Celal Gülen and Taner Dağhan on probation at the hearing held on October 10 by the Ankara 23rd Criminal Court of First Instance.
The on-call high criminal court, which considered the objection as justified, decided to re-arrest the released defendants.
FROM THE INDICTMENT
The Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office launched an investigation into the practice of copying the e-signatures of managers in public institutions and creating fake e-signatures from various documents, gaining unauthorized access to systems, and issuing fake driver's licenses and university and high school diplomas.
As a result of the investigation, it was determined that the defendants had copied the e-signatures of the President and Vice President of the Information and Communication Technologies Authority (BTK), the Head of Education and Training of the Council of Higher Education (YÖK), as well as the Head of Student Affairs Departments or staff of 14 universities.
The indictment prepared by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office demands prison sentences of 6 to 45 years for 134 defendants on charges of "violating the ÖSYM Law," "forgery of official documents," "entering into an information system," and "illegally obtaining data."
On the other hand, the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office prepared an indictment against 65 people for the same crimes and sent it to the Ankara 23rd Criminal Court of First Instance.
The court had decided to combine the indictment prepared against 65 people for the same crime with the existing case file.
