Man dies after falling into irrigation canal

While trying to get out of a parked car in Bahçeler Neighborhood, Uğur Uman (30) lost his balance and fell into the irrigation canal belonging to the DSI.

Upon notification, police, firefighters and medical teams were dispatched to the scene.

Bafra Fire Department teams pulled Uman out of the water 5 kilometers away from the scene.

Taken to Bafra State Hospital by ambulance, Uman lost his life.

District Police Chief Murat Öner also joined the search efforts for Uman.

It was learned that Uman's body will be sent to Samsun for autopsy.
