Police officers opened fire during drug operation, wounding one police officer

Two suspects who opened fire on police during a drug operation in the Fethiye district of Muğla were detained. One police officer was injured in the foot during the shooting.

Teams from the Fethiye Provincial Police Department's Narcotics Division launched an operation targeting drug dealers in the city. As part of this operation, teams raided an apartment building in the Karaçulha neighborhood when suspects opened fire.

A police officer was wounded in the foot by gunfire. One of the suspects was apprehended by police. A Police Special Operations team was dispatched to the area to apprehend the other armed suspect, who had fled and hidden in the apartment building.

Following the operation, which lasted approximately four hours, the other suspect was neutralized and taken into custody. (AA)
