Snow has literally swallowed them: They find their place by tying cloths to a stick

Due to the effective snowfall in Esbey village, which is 59 kilometers away from the city center and has a population of 300 and 200 houses, the snow depth reached 2 meters. The road to the village was opened to traffic by the Provincial Special Administration teams with construction equipment. After the snowfall stopped in the neighborhood, which is at an altitude of 700 meters, the villagers cleared the snow accumulated on the roofs against the risk of collapse.

In addition, as the air temperature dropped to minus 8 degrees, icicles 2-3 meters long formed on the roofs of houses.

CARS WERE STUCK UNDER THE SNOW
After heavy snowfall , some cars in the village were buried in snow on the side of the road. Vehicle owners tied colorful cloths to a stick to make a sign so that the snow removal teams' construction equipment would not damage their cars. Children in the village also enjoyed the snow by sledding.

'WHEN IT SNOWFALLED THERE WAS NO TRANSPORTATION TO THE VILLAGE'
Mehmet Dağcı, who lives in the village, said, "There was heavy snowfall in our village for 3-4 days, now the snowfall has stopped. We are trying to clear the snow accumulated in front of our houses and on the roofs with our shovels. Our vehicles in the village were buried under the snow. We are trying to find them. There was no transportation to the village when it snowed. Our roads have just started to open."

THEY TOOK PRECAUTIONS FOR THE VEHICLES
Village imam İnanç Kaya said that snow removal teams attached colored cloths to the sticks as a precaution to prevent the construction equipment from damaging their vehicles.

'THE LAST TIME IT SNOWFALLED LIKE THIS WAS IN 2021'
Esbey village headman Muhammet Muşuk said, “The last time it snowed heavily in this region was in 2021. It didn’t snow today. It last snowed heavily 3-4 days ago. Those in the village had measured 190 centimeters of snow, now it has reached 2 meters. Our Special Administration teams have made great efforts to keep the roads of our villages open. Our citizens are also clearing the snow on the roofs so that they don’t collapse.”
