When is the Night of Power?

The countdown has begun for the Night of Power, which the Muslim world eagerly awaits in the spiritual atmosphere of the month of Ramadan. This blessed night, when the Quran was revealed and is considered to be better than a thousand months, will be observed with worship and prayers. So, when is the Night of Power in 2025? WHEN IS THE NIGHT OF QADIR?

The Night of Power, which is stated in the Quran to be "better than a thousand months", will be observed on March 26, the 27th night of Ramadan, and Muslims will welcome Eid al-Fitr on March 30.

THE MEANING AND IMPORTANCE OF THE NIGHT OF QADIR

The Night of Power, which is the only night mentioned in the Quran, is described as follows:

"Indeed, We sent it (the Quran) down in the Night of Power. What will make you know what the Night of Power is? The Night of Power is better than a thousand months. The angels and the Spirit (Gabriel) descend in it, by the permission of their Lord, for every matter. That night is a night of peace until the break of dawn."

"The companions narrated that the Prophet gave signs that the last 10 days of Ramadan, the last 7 days and the night connecting the 26th to the 27th day are the Night of Power. The intensity of our worships should increase to a higher level in the last 10 days of Ramadan. We consider the Night of Power, which occurs during this period, as a milestone. This night is a night of opportunity.

WHAT ARE THE ACTIVITIES TO BE PERFORMED ON THE NIGHT OF QADIR?

The friends of Allah have recommended that those who have prayer debts should perform missed prayers on the blessed nights.

- Reading the Holy Quran

- To repent and ask for forgiveness

- To bring salat and salam

- To praise and be thankful

- To remember Allah a lot.

- To give alms

If we act knowing that every night of Ramadan is the Night of Power, we will have encountered the Night of Power. At least the following should be done every day:

- When performing any prayer at night, one should recite the Surah al-Qadr as an additional surah or outside of prayer.

- The following prayer should be read: (Allahumme inneke afuwwun karimun tuhibbul afwa fa'fu anni.)

- He should read a few pages of the Quran.

- He should read a few pages from the catechism.

- One should donate, even if only a small amount, to organizations that spread Islam correctly or give alms.

- At dawn, one should perform a two-rakat prayer, recite the Silsila-i Aliyya, and pray for the respect of those scholars.

- Since the day is as valuable as the night, one should also make the most of the day.
