The 26th Sadri Alışık Theatre and Cinema Actor Awards were presented to their winners.

The 26th annual Sadri Alışık Theater and Cinema Actor Awards were presented at a ceremony held at the Atatürk Cultural Center (AKM). Hosted by Yekta Kopan and attended by numerous figures from the business and art worlds, the event also celebrated Sadri Alışık's 100th birthday.

“THE GREAT PLAN” WINS ANOTHER AWARD

Çiğdem Yıldız was presented with the "Most Successful Actress of the Year" award in the "Comedy, Black Comedy, Musical Play, or Musical" category for her performance in "The Great Plan." Presenting the award to the actress was Merve Polat, who received the Best Actress award in the same category last year. Polat said, "We are two sister theater sisters. I won last year, and now Çiğdem has won. This is a big moment for us."

Yıldız said, "It's such an honor to receive this award. Sadri Alışık is 100 years old, and I'd like to thank the esteemed jury members for making me feel this proud. My dear friend Onur Duru, founder of Theater Project No2, wrote "The Great Plan," and Can Ali Çalışandemir, my friend of 19 years and a classmate, directed it. Receiving this award for a play they wrote and directed is incredibly important. I'd like to thank my family for raising me and my dear husband, Levent Yıldız."

WHO IS ÇİĞDEM YILDIZ?

Çiğdem Yıldız was born in Antalya in 1986. After graduating from Hacettepe University Ankara State Conservatory in 2010, she made her professional debut at the Ankara State Theatre in the 2010-2011 theatre season in Haldun Dormen's play "Kantocu." She became an actress at the Van State Theatre in 2011. She was appointed to the Istanbul State Theatre in 2018 and continues to serve as an actress at the Istanbul State Theatre. Yıldız also received the "Comedy Actress of the Year" award at the 11th Ekin Yazın Dostları Theatre Awards for her play "Büyük Plan."

“IS THE WORLD WE LIVE IN THIS WHAT WE NEED TO ESCAPE FROM?”

Written by R. Onur Duru and directed by Can Ali Çalışandemir, the play "The Big Plan", which deals with the escape plans of a lawyer and a journalist couple with black humor elements, invites the audience to the gripping and funny story of a couple, one lawyer and the other journalist, trapped between a corrupt justice system and a corrupt media.

Büyük Planlama had previously been deemed worthy of the "Best Playwright of the Year - R. Onur Duru" award at the 50th İsmet Küntay Theatre Awards, "Comedy Actress of the Year - Çiğdem Yıldız" award at the 11th Ekin Yazın Dostları Theatre Awards, and "Video Art Design of the Year - R. Onur Duru" award at the 9th Superior Akmen Theatre Awards.
