He reminded his former ruling party, the AKP, of the 30 points: What did we want from you?

The New Welfare Party's 3rd Ordinary Istanbul Provincial Congress began at the Yahya Kemal Beyatlı Performance Center in Küçükçekmece. 551 delegates will vote to elect the provincial chairman, with current Istanbul Provincial Chairman Nuri Özata the sole candidate.
Fatih Erbakan, Chairman of the New Welfare Party, who attended his party’s congress, said:
We are warning you to save both your worldly life and your afterlife. Because we know that the path you are on is wrong. We told you, "If you continue down this path, you will burn this nation, this country, and yourself in the fire of debt and interest," but you didn't listen. Now we are saying that because you didn't heed the warnings of Yeniden Refah, you are burning the country and the people in the fire of debt and interest, and you are burning yourself as well. While we are making these warnings, instead of pausing for a moment to listen to us sincerely and without prejudice, you are angry with us. We are not among those who squabble with you for their own positions rather than for the welfare of this nation. As members of the National Vision, as the Yeniden Refah Party, we are engaged in politics not for position or numbers, but for the sake of God.
Recalling the support they gave to the AKP government in 2023, Erbakan noted that they stipulated a 30-article protocol in return for their support, and said:
Please remember those 30 points. What did we ask of you from the ruling party? Did we ask for a position, a seat? Did we ask for a tender? No, whatever we asked of you, we asked for the nation. We asked for justice in distribution, justice in administration, and justice in the judiciary. We asked for production, development, and prosperity. We asked for morality and spirituality first. We said, create a balanced budget, serve this noble nation, not the interest lobby. We said, provide production support to farmers, transform their sweat into abundance. We said, prioritize merit, eliminate the nepotism system. We said, abandon double standards and ensure justice for all. We said, reform laws imported from the West, save homes from collapse. We said, end waste in the public sector. We said, do not unfairly transfer resources to privileged holdings. Whatever we asked for, we asked for the benefit of this noble nation and our country.
"YOU ARE IN INTEREST, YOU ARE NOT IN PRODUCTION"Erbakan criticized the government's economic policies and continued:
You're not in a balanced budget, but you're champions in interest payments. Industrialists are crying out, and the production index is sounding the alarm. Why? That's because you became the world champion in interest payments with your economic system, despite the fact that you're the one who squandered a handful of usurers. So, you're all in on interest, but you're not in production. People's salaries run out before the middle of the month. Housewives can't go to the market. Fathers can't give their children pocket money. Retirees can't even afford a quarter of a gold coin for their grandchildren. You've created a society trapped in credit cards, living in debt. The bank debts of 85 million people have surpassed 5 trillion lira. So, you're all in on credit cards and indebtedness, but you're not in income or wallets.
You've ended equal opportunity in education. Education has become a wall between the rich and the poor. Private school fees are exorbitant. Some public schools don't even have soap. Despite the Minister's repeated statements, we see daily in the news that books won't be charged. No one listens to the Minister. Parents are rebelling. So, you're in business, but you're not in education.
You've built giant health buildings. You've built giant city hospitals. But you haven't been able to fill them with a system. Money equivalent to the combined budgets of five ministries is flowing into city hospitals, yet citizens can't find doctors to treat them. Citizens wait in line for months, patiently fighting to get an appointment. So, you're here to enrich privileged contractors in city hospitals, but you're not here to provide healthcare to the public.
"YOU ARE NOT IN THE SLUMS"You waste billions on protocol expenses, claiming there's no saving on reputation. But when it comes to giving pensioners a raise, you're practically bargaining for sacrifice. So, you're all about luxury and extravagance, but you're nonexistent when it comes to giving to citizens. Instead of a nation-first approach, instead of a people-first approach, instead of a people-first approach, instead of a people-first approach, you operate with a privileged, powerful-first approach. So, you're all present in luxury villas, but you're nonexistent in the slums. You forgive the privileged's tax debts one by one. You issue tax exemptions totaling 2 trillion lira a year, yet you impose fine after fine on small business owners. So, you're all present on the profit sheets of privileged holding companies, but you're absent from the troubles and worries of small business owners, or the worries and concerns of neighborhood shopkeepers.
"YOU ARE THERE FOR LUXURY YACHTS, YOU ARE NOT THERE FOR TRACTORS"You impose a special consumption tax on farmers' diesel fuel, but you give luxury yachts fuel practically free. Farmers abandon their crops in the fields. They're afraid to start their tractors. So, you're there in the marina, but not in the fields. You're there for luxury yachts, but not for tractors.
You've built gigantic courthouses. You boast that you have the largest courthouses in Europe. Yes, but inside these courthouses, there's no trace of justice. The oppressed suffer for years at their doorsteps, while the powerful and the wealthy are acquitted in a single day. One law applies to the ruling party and another to the opposition. So, you're present in the courthouse of justice, but you're absent from conscience.
"YOU ARE THERE IN FAVOR, YOU ARE NOT THERE IN MERIT"Turkey has reached a point where young people no longer rely on their education, merit, or skills, but on their connections. They look to see if they have an uncle or uncle close to the government. Why? Because as the government, you're all about the connections, but not the meritocracy. You've opened dozens, hundreds of Imam Hatip schools. You've built luxurious and comfortable Imam Hatip schools. But today, young generations are being raised as deists. So, you're involved in building Imam Hatip schools, but you're not there in terms of their meaning and substance.
For years, you said, "My friend Trump." You said, "America is our strategic partner." You said, "Entering the European Union is our greatest goal." But you took no steps toward the D-60. So, you're in the European Union cooperating with the West, but not in the Islamic Union.
"YOU ARE IN TALKING ABOUT GAZA BUT NOT IN ACTION"You condemned the Gaza genocide in the loudest voices, you condemned it in the harshest terms. But you didn't shut down Kürecik. You didn't prevent Azerbaijani oil from being shipped to Israel via the Baku-Ceyhan pipeline. So, regarding Gaza, you're present in the conversation but absent in the action. This entire picture, all these examples clearly show us that this government is present when it takes from the people, but absent when it gives. It's visible when it takes, but it disappears when it has to give. You exist for the privileged, but absent for the oppressed. You exist for the conglomerates, but absent for the retired and minimum-wage earners. But we are here. We stand by the people, on the side of justice, on the side of God, following the national vision outlined by Erbakan Hoca. Despite all the obstacles, despite all the difficulties, the National Vision will erupt like a volcano in the next 40 years, will rise again, and Yeniden Refah will come to power. Then this nation too. You will achieve liberation, God willing.
Fatih Erbakan said that his party's 3rd Ordinary Grand Congress, which will be held at the Ankara Arena on November 16, is a congress to march to power and invited all party members to the congress.
