Houthis harshly accuse UN representative: He acted biased

The Iran -backed Houthis in Yemen have accused UN Special Envoy for Yemen Hans Grundberg of bias over his statement regarding developments in the Red Sea. Grundberg's stance was harshly criticized in a written statement published by the Houthi-run SABA news agency and published by the Foreign Ministry of the internationally unrecognized Houthi government.
The statement stated that Grundberg's call for an end to naval attacks against the Houthis in the Red Sea was far from impartial. The statement argued that Grundberg had covered up the root causes of Israel's attacks on the Gaza Strip and the resulting tensions in the region. This, it argued, violated the UN's principle of neutrality.
The Houthis' statement read, "This biased stance makes it difficult for Sanaa to communicate with the UN Representative, who should maintain an equal distance from all parties to the conflict but who has issued a statement against one side." It also signaled that the Houthis might sever official contact with the UN office and its representative for this reason.
Meanwhile, Houthi military spokesman Yahya Seri announced that they targeted the ship "Magic Seas" off the coast of Yemen with two unmanned marine vehicles, three unmanned aerial vehicles, and five ballistic missiles on July 7. Seri stated that they struck the ship because it was using Israeli ports and that the ship sank in the Red Sea as a result of the attack.
In another statement on July 9, Seri stated that the ship named “Eternity C,” which was heading towards the Umm al-Reshrash Port in Palestine, which is under Israeli occupation, was targeted with an unmanned boat and a ballistic missile.
Following these developments, UN Representative Hans Grundberg, in his statement regarding the tension in the Red Sea, called on the Houthis to stop their attacks and expressed concern about the consequences of these attacks.
