Parliament Speaker Kurtulmuş: An epic was written on July 15!

Turkish Grand National Assembly Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş commemorated with mercy, gratitude, and respect all the martyrs who sacrificed their lives on the night of July 15th, reaching the rank of martyrdom and transforming that night into a victory. Kurtulmuş stated, "July 15th is a great heroic epic that has been engraved in the national memory of this nation, and it is our duty to protect this epic together."

Restructuring the State

Kurtulmuş stated that the treachery that had been concealed within the state before July 15th and linked to a specific center was a treachery prepared over years. He noted that the state had been restructured based on competence, merit, and loyalty since the coup attempt, emphasizing that significant progress had been made in this regard. Kurtulmuş said, "After this purge, the doors of the state were thrown wide open to the nation's children, who had accepted no loyalty other than loyalty to the nation."

"THE ESSENTIAL THING IS TRANSPARENCY"

Kurtulmuş stated that July 15th once again demonstrated the powerful power of a rules-based system, a society with a strong legal consciousness, and a society with a strong democratic consciousness. He stated that the common denominator of all coup attempts and coups in Türkiye is that those who orchestrate them have a secret center and a hidden structure. Kurtulmuş said, "July 15th taught us that the key is not secrecy, but transparency. Transparency isn't just about accountability; it's about raising the standards of democracy."

Numan Kurtulmuş noted that another major lesson learned from July 15th was that this nation can no longer have any dealings with, or stand side-by-side with, those who rely on foreign powers and find other sources of support besides this nation, regardless of their size. Kurtulmuş stated that Türkiye has made significant progress thanks to these lessons and their aftermath.
