The Ministry of Interior issued a statement regarding the thunderstorm expected on July 16, 2025. The statement noted that, based on information received from the General Directorate of Meteorology, a yellow warning has been issued for nine provinces.

The Ministry's statement included the following statements:

"This afternoon, localized strong thunderstorms are expected in the inland areas of the Eastern Black Sea region (Gümüşhane and Bayburt provinces, inland areas of Trabzon, Rize, and Artvin) and in the northeast of Eastern Anatolia (Erzincan and Ardahan provinces, north of Erzurum). Localized strong thunderstorms are expected between 15:00 and 20:00 today in the north and east of Ankara. We strongly remind our citizens to be careful and cautious against negative events such as flash floods, inundation, lightning, local hail, and strong winds during rain, and to heed the warnings of the competent authorities."
