Rezan Epözdemir denies the UK claim

Lawyer Rezan Epözdemir was detained yesterday in the Bodrum district of Muğla as part of two separate investigations launched by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office on charges of "bribery," "aiding the armed terrorist organization FETÖ/PDY," and "political and military espionage."
DENIAL OF THE ENGLAND CLAIMIt was claimed on social media and in some news reports that Epözdemir was "caught while trying to flee to England."
A statement regarding the issue came from Epözdemir, who is in custody.
Stating that the claim in question does not reflect the truth, Epözdemir said:
Some places have reported that I was detained while on my way to the UK. This claim is untrue. Last night, my wife and children arrived in Istanbul from Bodrum (our summer house). As was the case last year, I had my plane tickets ready for my son's language school (I've attached the departure and return tickets, which were purchased well in advance) for this afternoon and Friday's return. We were going to England for a week for my older son's language school, and I'm sharing the language school documents with you. I was detained at home around 5:50 this morning. Therefore, please disregard malicious and manipulative posts claiming he was caught on his way to the UK.
