Traffic density in Istanbul in the morning hours: Approaching 80 percent

Traffic congestion is also being experienced in Istanbul in the morning hours due to the ice formation in some side streets. Following the snowfall that has continued intermittently since Wednesday in the city, ice formed in some areas as the air temperature dropped at night.
Vehicles were moving slowly due to ice on some side streets and avenues. The windows of some vehicles and the pavements were also covered in ice.
THERE IS CONDENSITY ON THE BRIDGES
While there is heavy traffic in the city in the morning, vehicles have difficulty navigating on the 15 July Martyrs Bridge , Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge and the Eurasia Tunnel in the direction of Edirne, connecting the European and Anatolian sides.
HERE IS THE LATEST SITUATION ON BOTH SIDES
On the Anatolian Side, traffic is slow in both directions on the D-100 highway between Kadıköy and Pendik, while on the TEM Highway it is heavy between the Çamlıca toll booths and Sancaktepe.
When crossing to the European Side, traffic density on the July 15 Martyrs Bridge starts from the Uzunçayır Intersection and in the direction of the Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge, it starts from Kozyatağı. Traffic flows smoothly on the bridges.
On the European side, traffic is heavy on the D-100 highway in the direction of Ankara between Zincirlikuyu-Mecidiyeköy, Avcılar-Küçükçekmece. The traffic, which starts at the entrance of the Golden Horn Bridge, continues until Cevizlibağ.
While vehicles are moving slowly in both directions on the Basın Ekspres road , traffic is slow between Seyrantepe and Gaziosmanpaşa on the TEM Highway in the direction of Ankara.
PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION IS ALSO KEY
Again, those who wanted to go to work and school created a crowd at metrobus, bus and tram transfer stations. At Altunizade metro and metrobus stops, citizens moved slowly on the bridge and platform and lined up to get on the transportation vehicles.
According to IMM CepTrafik map data, at around 08.45, traffic density reached 71 percent on the European Side, 85 percent on the Anatolian Side, and 78 percent across the city.
