Bill Kaulitz as a Vogue Germany Cover Star Fails to Impress Our Forum Members

Vogue Germany is a shadow of its former self, and the covers of the German fashion bible just don’t quite hit like they once did. The magazine, which came to fruition in 1979, is currently under the tutelage of Kerstin Weng. Weng, who has served as head of editorial content since 2021, has called upon the likes of Nadja Auermann, Tilda Swinton, Emilia Schüle, Emma Corrin throughout 2025. Up next on the cover of Vogue Germany is Bill Kaulitz, who covers the July/August 2025 edition of the magazine. The German singer-songwriter (perhaps best known for his work as the lead vocalist of Tokio Hotel) is captured by photographer Frederike Helwig. The team (including stylist Niki Pauls) headed to a salt mine near Magdeburg, Germany (close to where Kaulitz grew up) for the cover shoot. In the cover image, Bill dons a look from Berlin-based fashion brand GmbH.

“Kim Cattrall looking rough these days,” laughed Avonlea upon checking out the cover.
“Who would want to buy this? Nothing is appealing,” shrieked Lax89.
“Everyone responsible for this should be fired,” an unforgiving prylvi declared.
Fauxfashion shared: “As a German, this cover gives me both first and secondhand embarrassment. Plus, if anything justifies cancel culture, it’s this!”
“Lord Jesus, WTF is this? I think I have to stop telling people I am German. Especially if this represents German style,” echoed an equally as dumbfounded Simera.
“If there was a service where you could get a personalized copy of Vogue printed up with someone on the cover as an anniversary or birthday present, it might look something like this,” voiced tigerrouge.
