Let freedom ring. Tripadvisor can call its own shots now without running major decisions through a parent company that at times had different interests and priorities.

Tripadvisor announced that it completed its $430 million merger with parent company Liberty Tripadvisor Holdings.

With the deal closed, Tripadvisor gets the freedom to chart its own course independent
