Saltillo reinforces urban cleaning with an intensive campaign against graffiti

At the instruction of Mayor Javier Díaz González, the Saltillo Municipal Government is carrying out an intensive graffiti removal campaign in the streets of the Central District, with the aim of preserving the urban image, strengthening security and protecting the architectural heritage of the Coahuila capital.
The work is carried out through coordination between the Central District and Public Services departments, with the support of Governor Manolo Jiménez Salinas, in a joint action that seeks to maintain the heart of the city in optimal condition.

The work began in a first stage on Francisco Javier Mina street, in the section between Guadalupe Victoria and Ramos Arizpe, and will extend to various roads in the first center of Saltillo.
The director of the Central District, Roberto Rojas Oyervides, emphasized that the removal of graffiti helps prevent vandalism and improves the perception of safety, while promoting respect for public spaces.
“Staff from both departments conduct constant diagnostic tours to locate graffiti and remove it as soon as possible, for the direct benefit of the residents of Saltillo, as well as those who visit us nationally and internationally,” said Rojas Oyervides.
To carry out these tasks, the City Council has more than 20 shades of paint that adapt to the original color of the affected facades, both in homes and businesses, in order to preserve the visual harmony of the environment.

These actions are part of the permanent urban maintenance program implemented by Mayor Javier Díaz González, which includes the rehabilitation of sidewalks, cleaning of facades and conservation of historical or cultural buildings.
The Municipal Government reiterated its commitment to a clean, orderly, and representative Central District, reflecting the identity of Saltillo, and called on citizens to join in caring for the urban environment, preventing damage to infrastructure, and reporting acts of vandalism through WhatsApp security groups.
