Traffic operation announced in Chetumal for Buen Fin

The Secretariat of Citizen Security, through the State Directorate of Transit, will implement a road safety strategy in the municipality of Othón P. Blanco, during the period from November 13 to 17 during the Buen Fin 2025.

There will be 60 traffic police officers present, distributed in nine RAM patrol units, five Charger units, seven motorcycle patrols and a tow truck, responsible for safeguarding the physical integrity of pedestrians and drivers.

The Traffic Department will deploy its personnel in shopping centers identified on high-traffic avenues, in banking areas, market areas, and the city center; in addition, its presence will be reinforced on major thoroughfares such as Insurgentes Avenue, Heroes Avenue, Veracruz Causeway, Centenario Causeway, Álvaro Obregón Avenue, among others, with the aim of strengthening surveillance and prevention efforts at intersections, outside each commercial area.

Attention will be paid to the entrances and exits of the parking lots of participating shopping centers, such as Plaza de las Américas, Multiplaza, Plaza Bahía, Capital Center, Soriana, Elektra, Coppel, Bodega Aurrerá and Suburbia, to ensure traffic order and prevent accidents.

Citizens are advised to respect pedestrian crossings, maintain a moderate speed, an adequate distance between vehicles, and heed the instructions of traffic police officers in order to make the most of the activities during Buen Fin 2025.
