The AI-powered video of a dog lifting weights that fooled thousands on TikTok: it sparked a furor

Artificial intelligence (AI) has become a part of modern daily life all over the world , confusing hundreds of people, as there are animations that look so real that it becomes very difficult to distinguish between what is true and what is fiction.

Recently, a case of an AI-made video became so well-known that hundreds of people believed it was real and shared it a large number of times.

The video shows a cute golden retriever on a platform where athletes usually lift weights. The footage shows a large, packed stadium watching the four-legged friend supposedly lift weights.

The images look real, especially for adults who don't recognize the audiovisual pieces that can be created with AI.

This video was shared on several occasions, to the point that a young woman registered on the famous TikTok video platform as @soymessii published a conversation she had with her mother, in which the woman could not hide her amazement at seeing how a dog could be capable of lifting weights.

The young woman stated in the video that she didn't know how to explain to her mother that the video was completely fake, since it was made using technology. "Guys, I don't know how to explain this to my mom anymore," she said. In the chat the woman shared, her mother referred to the images as "impressive."

In addition, some of the comments that can be read in the publication of the young woman and her mother, indicate: "It's false, the dog Olympics start next year"; "I haven't made fun of it since I believed the support kangaroo"; "Little is said about the strength that the dog has"; "Be kind to your mothers, this is also their first time living, always explain to them with love please", among others.
