Fatal workplace accident under investigation in Lambton County

A 26-year-old from Mexico has died after a construction accident in Lambton County on Thursday evening.

Provincial police were called to King Street West in Forest, Ont., west of London, at around 6:22 p.m. after reports of a workplace incident. The individual was found with life-threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital, where they were later pronounced dead.

Police said the death is not considered suspicious.

Members of the OPP's Forensic Identification Services and the Office of the Chief Coroner attended the scene. The Ministry of Labour has taken over the investigation.

The man's name has not been released.
