Google Announces Gemini for Wear OS and Other AI Features

Alongside the announcement of Samsung's smartphones and smartwatches , Google unveiled new AI features and, most importantly, the arrival of Gemini on Wear OS . A dedicated update has begun rolling out for Pixel devices.

AI Mode in Circle to Search

The Circle to Search feature, announced in early 2024, allows you to search the web using gestures. Google has announced the integration of AI Mode (English only in India and the US). Simply press and hold the home button or navigation bar and circle something on the screen to get a response from AI Overview . At the bottom is a link to AI Mode for more detailed information.

AI Mode is also accessible via Lens and the Google app (Android and iOS). Circle to Search also allows you to get help during the game . For example, simply circle a character or object to receive information and suggestions.

Gemini Live now supports Samsung apps on the new Galaxy Z Fold7, Galaxy Z Flip7, and Galaxy Z Flip7 FE. Finally, the Gemini app is available on the Galaxy Watch8, Galaxy Watch8 Classic, and Galaxy Watch Ultra (2025) with Wear OS 6. It will also replace Google Assistant on Pixel, OPPO, OnePlus, and Xiaomi smartwatches running at least Wear OS 4.

In addition to Google apps, it can also access Samsung apps, offering more relevant answers. It's activated by tapping the app icon, holding down the side button, or using the voice command " Hey Google ." It works identically to a smartphone, so it answers questions and allows you to perform various tasks, such as sending messages, adding an appointment to your calendar, summarizing emails, and creating reminders.
