Simon Yates wins stage 10 of the Tour, Healy takes the yellow jersey
PUY DE SANCY (FRANCE) (ITALPRESS) – Simon Yates wins the tenth stage of the 2025 Tour de France, the 165.3km Ennezat-Mont Dore Puy de Sancy. The Visma Lease a Bike rider performed a feat in one of the most significant stages of this edition of the Grande Boucle, crossing the finish line ahead of Thymen Arensman (Ineos Grenadiers) and Ben Healy (EF Education). Healy becomes the new yellow jersey, snatching it from Tadej Pogacar (UAE Emirates), who, in the leading group, was being chased by Jonas Vingegaard (Visma Lease a Bike). Healy is the fourth Irishman in history to wear the yellow jersey, the last being Stephen Roche, winner of the Tour in 1987. The day's massive breakaway, initially consisting of 29 riders and later swelled to 14, was completed: Victor Campenaerts and Simon Yates (Visma-Lease a Bike), Valentin Paret Peintre (Soudal-Quick Step), Ben Healy (EF Education-EasyPost), Lenny Martinez (Bahrain Victorious), Thymen Arensman (Ineos Grenadiers), Quinn Simmons (Lidl-Trek), Quentin Pacher (Groupama-FDJ), Michael Storer (Tudor Pro Cycling Team), Ben O'Connor (Jayco-AlUla), Pablo Castrillo (Movistar Team), Michael Woods and Joe Blackmore (Israel-Premier Tech) and Anders Johannessen (Uno-X Mobility). Tomorrow is the first rest day for the caravan, with the 156.8 km Toulouse-Toulouse stage on Wednesday. – Photo by Ipa Agency –
